vimeo -  today

so … are you guys working ??

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

my dogcreek friends have a little different perspective.

I’m reminded of how  in Walden, Thoreau bemoans the many hours we spend working our life instead of living our Lives. It just doesn’t seem like the same possibility now but …

tell that to my fawn ….

Try a little sorenson – squeeze … that is… don’t forget 360

http://www.sorensonmedia.com

is pretty cool – we all need to squeeze these media monsters but

360 http://www.sorensonmedia.com/video-delivery-network/

is much more with their own world of skins, players, a review section to share, statistics, SEO, one stop shopping …. central satellite view …. wow … that’s a lot of alliteration …. but then again … SorensonSqueeze are one

another cube

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

with a little timing, a  little more preview of these short animations, it was much easier to coordinate the faces,

and with a some marble columns, a little more Roman too. Pick the marble material from the Cinema4D library, or create your own if you like, map your movies to your cube faces, choose ’separate faces’ before you make your cube editable,

and you’re well  on you way to a simple way to let your 3D share multiple movies with your viewers

C4D curves, splines, and flight paths

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

easy to define your flight path with a spline. Once you like it, you may create second, rail to provide balance and banking. With ‘tangential’ chosen, your object, your mythical beast will orient with your railing and then

find some fun background …. or create your own. External video blends quite well if you want your cartoon to flirt with reality.

UFO – Acoustica Mixcraft 5 meets C4d and AE

Acoustica Mixcraft has an amazing toolbox of sounds, controls, special effects, synthesizers that help you add that most essential ingredient to your video … Sound.

Like any tool, there’s a learning curve, and I guess it helps if you have some musical ability but I have been pleased with my beginning compositions and about all I have is a natural love for music.

One of my favorite things about Mixcraft is that it helps you compose music but it also provides a very rich library of special effects, nature sounds, nature’s music

which gives your creative fancy, a little more flush.

the Win 7 software caught up with the avchd technology

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

I was so excited when I got my Canon Vixia …. about a year ago this time last year …

until I applied a mts file to my AE timeline and had to count to10 when scrolled the video … waiting for the display to catch up with me.

Nvidia’s marriage with Adobe in particular with Mercury Engine ( MPE )   in Premiere Pro changed this.  Hidef was endowed with real time editing with this one addition to your system but

now that I have my first Windows 7 experience it is a real pleasure to see an mts file with a representative thumbnails,

to open it directly from the folder display,  or to be able to play from the folder simply using Windows media.

These are ‘little things’ but make a tremendous contribution to your time when working with hi def, sampling and doing a little experimentation.
